Athena Cocoves is a Managing Editor on NerdWallet’s New Markets content team. She helps bring financial clarity to readers in Canada, focusing on credit cards and personal finance. Since 2020, she has played a key role in launching NerdWallet in international markets, including the UK and Canada.
Before joining NerdWallet, Athena managed several regional magazines covering arts, culture, and small business. She holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a B.F.A. in art history from Kent State University. Originally from the Great Lakes region, she now lives in Colorado, where she enjoys exploring mountain trails and chasing big ideas.
